Each pass covers one learner and one chosen eligible grade across all four subjects. Parents choose a linked child at checkout. The full learning experience stays inside the authenticated app.

How NivShiksha subscriptions work
Choose a 14-day Intro, a 30-day Basic pass, or a calendar-year Basic or Premium pass. These are one-time purchases, not auto-renewing subscriptions.
Each pass covers all four subjects for one chosen eligible grade, not all grades from Class 1 to Class 8 at once.
- Intro Tier is a low-cost entry point, not a recurring free trial.
- Basic Monthly and Basic Annual unlock the same core learning features.
- Premium adds mock tests and competition-oriented access.
Grade eligibility and queued renewals
Annual passes last one calendar year from the server-confirmed start date, not until 31 March. Checkout shows the exact start and end in IST.
A learner may hold up to two concurrent paid grades. The additional grade must be the highest active grade + 1 and opens from the eligible 1 April.
- Same-grade renewals open in the last 7 days and start after the current pass ends.
- A switch moves any queued same-grade renewal after the switched annual pass, preserving its purchased term.
- Expired learning history remains viewable; starting new content requires a valid grade pass.
How plan switches work
Switches are tied to a specific active Basic grade pass, not an account-wide tier.
These switch prices are enforced server-side so the amount stays consistent across web checkout, Google Play, and the App Store.
- Basic Annual → Premium Annual upgrade: ₹799 flat fee.
- Basic Monthly → Basic Annual switch: annual price minus one month of Basic Monthly, currently ₹1,000.
- The monthly-to-annual credit is capped at one month and does not accumulate over multiple months.
- Basic Monthly → Premium Annual adds the Basic-to-Premium fee to the monthly-to-annual price.
- Monthly switches start a new year immediately; annual Basic → Premium preserves the current end date.

Frequently asked questions
Is NivShiksha pricing public?
Yes. The pricing structure is intentionally public so parents and schools can evaluate the product clearly. What is not public is the full proprietary question bank and authenticated learning content inside the app.
Does one subscription cover all grades?
No. Each pass covers one learner and one chosen eligible grade across all four subjects. Up to two concurrent paid grades are allowed under the next-grade eligibility rules.
Can I start with Basic Monthly and switch later?
Yes. If you are on an active Basic Monthly subscription, you can switch to Basic Annual by paying the annual price minus one month of Basic Monthly. The credit is capped at one month.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Premium later?
Yes. An active Basic Annual pass can switch to Premium for ₹799, keeping its end date. Monthly Basic can switch to a new Premium annual pass. A queued renewal moves after the switched annual pass, preserving its purchased term.
How do parents and schools purchase passes?
Parents select a linked child before checkout: the parent owns the payment and the child receives the pass. Schools use backend-assigned passes under invoiced agreements, not Razorpay or in-app purchases.
